Breathe UNC

Prototype Wireframing-Figma
Project Overview
As part of my coursework capstone project, my group had the idea of creating a Digital Wellness Application for UNC students that would connect with them on a mental/spiritual level. We wanted to create an application that showed the value of mental health and an assist tool for students to utilizie in their every day lives.
My Contributions
I was initially part of the Research Team, then hopped over to the UX team. I got hands on experience with building prototype wireframe, User Journey map and User Personas all through Figma.
Here is the first version of the wireframe prototype. I was in charge of the Wire framing, as well as the Focus Page/Focus Statistics Page/Journaling Page.

The Focus pages are meant to allow the users to lock out of other distractions happening within their mobile devices. I thought to include several options that clearly state the different types of focus as people can go into do not disturb me mode under different circumstances.

The Focus statistics page is supposed to give the user a visualized data about their sessions, how well they have been doing. This gives user the feeling of progress which attracts users back to the app as well as highlights strengths/weaknesses of the user.

Usage of proper color palette from App identity, design of planned out features and functions
Here, I designed a User Persona/ Journey map for a student called Melanie.

For User Persona, I included her favorite apps, her goals and frustrations to highlight her current mental state, and her exact time usage of the apps so our app could give suggestions on potential help.

For User Journey Map, I designed it so that Melanie would naturally come across the app when she is going through a low phase, download the app and use so she can identify why she is feeling certain way, learn the pattern and become in a stable state of mind and learn gratitude.
